Gerbing Fotoalbum

If you let your photos pile up on the hard drive, in no particular order, it will become more and more difficult to find a specific picture or album. This is where Gerbing Fotoalbum can help you. The software can be used to organize images and videos in a database, without affecting the actual files. The procedure is fast and when it is done, you will be able to locate your photos immediately, by using one or more keywords.

Gerbing Fotoalbum is available in Shareware, Professional and SQL Server versions. There are three simple stages to go through, after downloading and running the software's 17.4 MB setup file. You can install it on Windows 98 and any later edition, up to Windows 8.

The program allows you to type or select keywords on its main interface, but you must add your pictures to the database before anything else. Gerbing Fotoalbum comes with a sample database, to help you get started. You can manage the existing database and add your own pictures on separate windows.

To add new photos or videos, you have to drag and drop your files into the program's interface. Additionally, you may associate various keywords with your files, within the same window. It is possible to specify their situation, year, location, country and more, in separate input fields. Once your files are loaded into the interface, you may also bring up their EXIF or IPTC information and use it to fill in the aforementioned fields.

If your files are added to the database, you can write the associated keywords or EXIF information as IPTC fields, within the files. You can also perform different checks, to make sure that there are no errors in your database. As previously stated, you can locate your pictures, within the database, by typing or selecting the associated keywords, in different fields. If the images are found, the software will display them in full screen mode or on a resizable window, depending on your choice.
